1. I'm haven't disappeared again, I'm just trying to figure out a way to be less of a zombie. I was in the store the other day looking at spices and it wasn't until someone stopped and asked if I was okay that I realized I was crying. For no fucking reason. I was just that tired. I picked up some valerian root pills and am trying a couple of the other things you guys suggested. No huge improvements yet, but I managed a whole four hours last night, which is probably the longest I've slept in one go in about a month now. Cross fingers and pray that things keep getting better.

2. I have complicated personal feelings about blowjobs that are probably way too tmi to post all over my LJ.

3. I've recently discovered that I kind of ship Puck/Kurt from Glee like whoa if it's well written and I'm incredibly saddened that the shipping name of choice for them is apparently something other than Purt. Because the word Purt makes me giggle.

4. I started taking a cake decorating certification class a couple weeks ago. Apparently I should do all my writing in frosting, because my handwriting looks SO much better when I do it that way.

5. I am full of opinions about Iron Chef and The Next Iron Chef and might have to do an entire post about it, because I would love to see Chuck Hughes as the next Iron Chef, but the show--and the cooking world in general--is in desperate need of more estrogen.

6. I've been so focused on JGL's dimples and sometimes super tight pants that I somehow neglected to really appreciate his arms. This was wrong of me and I apologize.

7. In other news, THardy continues to make all my dreams come true.

Not as much as you'd think. It was a choir thing. I'm not registered, but since they were short on people I'm singing with them this semester anyway and the director expects me to treat it as seriously as I would if I was registered. Which normally I wouldn't mind, but I'm a little less happy about it when it requires me getting up four hours earlier than I normally have to on Sunday and driving 45 minutes to go to a church that isn't mine.

Ugh. Yeah...I'm not that committed to anything. I admire your devotion...work ethic...guilt? Whatever's getting you out of bed. :)

I just really love music. Especially now that I'm not trying to force myself to study it anymore. :)

Trudat. Loving something doesn't mean you want to do it for a living.

That's pretty much what my director told me when I told her I wanted to abandon ~5 years of studying music and go to pastry school. :)

So I'm watching season one of CSI, right? NICK AND GREG. &hearts I'm both excited and saddened because they are kickass, but I know it's not going to stay that way. I am full of all the feelings right now.

Nick and Greg are sparkly boys of love!!!!

Ah the innocence and the kink and the touching!

They are!

I also take back what I said about wanting nothing but cuddles from Nick. Now I want all the things.

Including cuddles.

He did. Like at least once every few episodes. And he was all innocent and naive and Catherine was all, wake up and smell the species, Nicky.

And oh yes, they called him Nicky.

Catherine just wants to help him learn. She's a giver like that. ;)

What else would they call him? It suits him so well. &hearts

And can I just say that I was all sorts of giggly when I paused the dvd to read your comment and this is what was left on my computer screen?

You're right. Obviously the earlier seasons are superior. \o/

Oh, Nicky! hahaha And he was so hopeful and trusting with people...even Greggo. And he clearly doesn't quite know how to deal with the obvious Greg flirting.

Disclosure: first season producers were debating implying Catherine/Nick slept together once and were debating another character gay. Bobby the ballistics guy is actually supposed to be gay but CBS chickened out of his one line of dialogue.

Also they mentioned Nicky being molested as a kid and then NEVER MENTION IT AGAIN.

Oh, first seasons...

There's so much touching and pigtail pulling! And dating all the way back to the pilot! Where did all that go?!

I could see Catherine/Nick. Especially if it was timed around when he first came to Las Vegas and maybe he was pretending to be a big lady's man, but actually he's never been all that good with dealing with girls--even though he's obviously gorgeous--and he's determined to change things around with the move. Catherine, of course, sees right through him and decides to help him out in a decidedly hands on way. In the end it's just a friends with benefits type of arrangement, but they both had some laughs and good times that they remember fondly.

So now even the bit characters can't be canonically gay? FAIL.

Oh, so they pulled the same thing Criminal Minds did with Morgan basically. Well, I guess they do write Morgan so he's more likely to respond poorly to cases with kids, but the do the same with more than one character and it's never really addressed. =/

One of those random first season things like how Greg is actually supposed to be really cool and not pretending and a nerd like later. I like him as a cool...and a nerd. It's like Nick being hot but not at all smooth with the ladies. It's nice.

But see, that would make the characters complex and give them more personality. And that just isn't done. =P

I know. They can only be one thing.

Sara can be interesting, or she can be in love with Grissom, but she can't be both.

I was just telling topetine earlier that I was surprised by how much I like Sara in the earliest episodes since I pretty much can't stand her in any of the other ones. There's a tiny bit of flirting between the two of them, but no more than you'd expect to see between friends like they're supposed to be. If they could have developed that without leeching away the things that make her an enjoyable character later on, then I think the two of them would be a much more interesting couple. Well, to me at least.

She turned into a stalky whiner with her Grissom feelings and it was so irritating and it dragged on forever and yet the Grissom/Sara people would stand no dissent!

(They even took slash, of totally different characters, as a threat to GSR).

I always enjoyed Catherine and Grissom's old friend/could have been more but never will be occasional tension. But I still heart Grissom/Sara the best.

I'd probably ship Grissom/Sara if I'd started from the beginning (I have a not so tiny age kink that they're pinging right now), but knowing what I do pretty much ruins it for me. I am enjoying the tiny hints of Catherine/Grissom. I don't know that I'd ship it, but I like the dynamic.

(They even took slash, of totally different characters, as a threat to GSR).

Dude. What was the logic behind that?

I don't think the GSR people had any logic. They were nuts, yo. Maybe they took the people who slashed Grissom with dudes to mean that all slashers were out to take their het, away? IDK.

Grissom and Sara had one sexy moment for me. The rest of the time...meh.

Dakota Fanning's in this episode. I can't exactly pinpoint why, but that makes me feel really old.
