my invisible girl impression yesterday

I was lured out of the house yesterday with promises of a free lunch and ended up being kidnapped into watching Fast Five at the local dollar theater.
 

I walked away from the movie with three conclusions.
 

1. It is an unintentional comedy.

2. The minor het pairing (Han and Gisele) is about 10 different kinds of fabulous and I want all of the probably nonexistent fic for it.

3. Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's characters need to have hot, sweaty, muscly angry sex.

A storm knocked our power and internet out for most of the night last night. I had very strong feelings of displeasure about this, especially since it made me lose a good chunk of a fic I've been writing over on the Inception kinkmeme. NOT COOL, NATURE. NOT COOL.

On the plus side, I made gluten free cake balls.

I like the fic they make. I just wish people didn't focus on kink memes *quite* so much and/or posted their work elsewhere when it was done.

Of course, then you get into all those people who *hate* people who write under their own names on kinkmemes like it *has* to be anonymous or something and it all gets weird.

Oh, definitely agreed on that front.

The 'you're just trying to get attention and are ruining the integrity of the kinkmeme' people? Yeeeeah, some people take fandom way too seriously. If the meme specifically says everything needs to be anon--and the only time I've seen one do that, it was only for a specified amount of time--then fine, whatever, but otherwise they just need to take a chill pill.

I've done anon and under my name in the same meme. It depends on your shame levels I guess. Or, in the case of Psych, if you are almost the one person actually writing and don't want to seem like you're writing too much or whatever.

Fucking Psych! I still do not understand that fandom.

I'm doing an anon fill on the Inception kinkmeme, but that's more because I tend to be shy when I'm getting into a new fandom than anything else. I've already made it clear that I'm going to deanon at the end to post a cleaned up, complete version to my LJ now that everyone's told me I'm pretty. ;) The Psych fandom is just insane. I've never seen a kink meme for it really take off, probably the biggest independent archive of fics doesn't allow slash because the mod thinks it's 'out of character and doesn't fit with canon' or some shit, and I've met some awesome people through it, but it's honestly one of the least friendly, most unwelcoming fandoms I've ever tried to take part in. With the exception of a few writers, I just steer clear of it nowadays.

Clearly, ranting is not a problem on my LJ. Feel free to have at it. ^.^

I agree. I've never seen a fandom like Psych before in my life. It was the strangest thing. I used to think it was because of the bitch who ran Psych Fic but now I don't know.

Arthur/Eames. It's an AU where Arthur runs an ice cream parlor. After I'm done with it, I'm giving serious thought to filling the prompt where Arthur is a haute couture baker and Eames is the cupcake maker who offends him to his very core. Because apparently I must fill ALL of the food based prompts. XD

It really, really does. I think it might have something to do with everyone wanting to feed Joseph Gordon-Levitt. &hearts
