coffeebuddhaI was lured out of the house yesterday with promises of a free lunch and ended up being kidnapped into watching Fast Five at the local dollar theater.
I walked away from the movie with three conclusions.
1. It is an unintentional comedy.
2. The minor het pairing (Han and Gisele) is about 10 different kinds of fabulous and I want all of the probably nonexistent fic for it.
3. Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's characters need to have hot, sweaty, muscly angry sex.
A storm knocked our power and internet out for most of the night last night. I had very strong feelings of displeasure about this, especially since it made me lose a good chunk of a fic I've been writing over on the Inception kinkmeme. NOT COOL, NATURE. NOT COOL.
On the plus side, I made gluten free cake balls.

(Peter/Elizabeth/Neal makes my heart flutter) Honestly, you had me at waistcoats. &hearts I have such a kink for those and I am SO HAPPY they keep turning up on television and in movies lately.
*dances happily* Maybe someday they'll grow a pair and give us an actual canon relationship! That would...well, that would just be swell. ♥___&hearts

Apparently, USA had never heard of threesomes. haha). I like her. I just wish White Collar was deeper. My feelings about it are that it's fun to watch sometimes but I don't *need* to watch it, you know?
Nah, the first gay romance they'll do on a mainstream show, if ever, will be some side characters in something boring. Just like they do with most of the het relationships on mainstream tv. The painful/delicious/awesome/funny arcs that fanfic writers create out of platonic relationships onscreen for het and slash are like a billion times better.
Of course, I'm a cynical old woman now. So there's that. And I keep hoping, despite my bitterness. Heh.
WAISTCOATS. You know it occurred to me the other day that (and this is completely crazy) Harvey reminds me of Etienne. I don't know why. I only saw one ep.

I know what you mean about the show though. I genuinely enjoy it when I'm watching it, but I can go months without watching the new episodes and not miss them.
Probably, but I'm an optimist at the very core of my shriveling heart. I can live with platonic on screen as long as there's plenty of fanfiction to fill in the gaps.
...now there's no way I'm going to be able to watch this without thinking about that. THANK YOU.

I'd take platonic onscreen too if they didn't always....you know, I don't want to rant about this again. I just want a show to love. Maybe we ought to watch Suits then.
See a long time ago I weirdly thought, Etienne/grown up Ben would be an interesting couple, but I didn't know what to do with that idea. Then there was Suits, and suddenly I see something of them.

I will likely never write it. Etienne also needs someone where he doesn't have to micromanage everything and he's so messed up I can't even tell you. It was a weird thought I'd mostly forgotten about until Suits.

If the meme specifically says everything needs to be anon--and the only time I've seen one do that, it was only for a specified amount of time--then fine, whatever, but otherwise they just need to take a chill pill.

I couldn't help but notice your discussion earlier about the show Suits. I'm head over heels for it. I adore Harvey, and after the most recent episode I've been plagued by a story idea where Harvey makes Mike recite passages from a contract they'd been going over whilst....distracting him.
One day I might even write it. ^-^
