My day in summation:

1. Woke up.
2. Went for an 8 1/2 mile run/walk/whatever. Stopped because it felt like a bone was trying to escape through the bottom of my foot.
3. Bought a swimsuit and cheese.
4. Went swimming.
5. Was forced into having a talk about My Future.
6. Wanted to stab myself in the face.
7. Cursed my inability to write anything that could be considered publishable.
8. Cursed my inability to finish any of the many novels I've started writing over the years.
9. Cursed the world's inability to pay me for writing fanfiction/drabbles.
10. Silently admitted to myself that I have absolutely no real desire to finish my degree anymore.
11. Wondered how my parents would react if I just drop out of college and got a job flipping burgers, because I didn't actually hate working fast food.
12. Realized that I'd eat all the burgers and end up gaining back all the weight I've lost. Plus, you know, myriad of other reasons that I can't even, omg.
13. Curled up in a ball and tried not to cry or throw up.
14. Watched Tosh.0 with topetine.
15. Read fic that wasn't even porn for a fandom I'm not even a part of.
16. Stalked the author's LJ so that I could read the entire series that the fic was for.
17. Refused to think about real life anymore for the night.
18. Thought about real life some more.
19. Fought the urge to curl back up into a ball.
20. Decided to screw the world and go to sleep.

And that's why there's no Daily Drabble for the day. Because I am full of fail. Sorry, theslashbunny. It's plotted out in my head and should be up sometime tomorrow.

I just have a ridiculously short attention span, so I'll get about 10k words into something, if even that, and then get distracted by a different idea. I'm trying though! I refuse to give up!

Was your first one the thing with the gay pirates that I'm currently blanking on the name of? Because I love that thing in a myriad of ways that are vast and varied and possibly unhealthy. &hearts

Nag nag nag! Seriously, I am always nagging writers I know. You should recruit more naggers. If pir8fancier hadn't stalked me, I doubt I ever would have finished it.

Yeah, I read it ages ago, back when I first started online stalking you reading your stuff. It was one of those things where I sat down and pretty much didn't move until I'd finished it. And then I read it again. &hearts

I meant the whole over all I'm a failure feeling of your post, but I get it. I do. If you count Role Plays along with my fanfictions I've written several novels worth. But concocting a novel length story on my own seems impossible. You have my utter sympathy.

If you have novels started maybe you need to pick one and become devoted to it. It would probably give you a great sense of accomplishment. Easier said than done I know, but give it a whirl. :-)

One last bit of probably useless unsolicited thought. I'd never tell anyone you must go back to school because then I'd be a hypocrite. But I can tell you that in your forties being qualified for not much beyond wearing hairnets and nametags kinda blows. LOL
