I'm in the mood to grumble.

1. I hate my LJ layout. Actually, I hate all of them. All of them. How is it that there isn't a single music themed layout that doesn't suck? I'm not asking for anything elaborate. Just something soft and pretty with notes on it. How is that so hard to find? If I had any talent at all with graphics, I'd make my own. *grumbles*

2. I don't care if people have conversations in the comments of my fics. I really, truly don't. BUT if you have an entire conversation with someone about their icon without ever saying a single word about the fic, it really pisses me off. That's just rude. *grumbles*

3. I'm ridiculously sensitive to certain things, like any repetitive motion/sound (a foot or a finger tapping, for instance) or the sound of fingers moving over corduroy. It feels like there's something underneath my skin, scratching at me with tiny pieces of glass, pushing to be let out. It makes my stomach clench and my head hurt and my entire body ache. If I'm exposed to it long enough, I'll actually throw up. I know it's bizarre. I know that. But you know what, parents who have known me for 20+ years? This probably shouldn't still surprise you so much that you think I'm faking or treat me like a freak when I ask you to stop. *grumbles*

4. My laptop's a piece of shit and it'll probably be at least another year before I can afford a new one. *grumbles*

5. Writing's hard. *grumbles*

In case it helps, http://www.colourlovers.com/palettes/search is a great place to search for colour palettes that you really like... they come in sets of four-five (usually five) colours, and you can see the HTML colour codes (for if you're making graphics and want to use those exact colours). That way you can see specific colours together, and/or search for combinations you like -- if you put in "blue", for example, you'll see all the palettes with blue in them, or if you know a specific blue that you want, you can put in the code and it will show you all the palettes including that particular blue. If you really like blue and orange together (which I don't, but some people do? apparently?) but don't know what would go with it, then put in "blue" and "orange" in the hue boxes, and it'll pop up with all the blue and orange and something else palettes. It's a handy little tool. =] And then, once you find the one you like, just send topetine the URL and SHE'LL be able to see it too -- exactly the color set you want.

Oh -- and I (kinda) do CSS. I make all my layouts, anyway. If you can't find someone else who's burning to do it, send it my way? =]

I have similar issues with repetitive noise and parents. My Dad drums his fingers ALL THE TIME, whcih drives me crazy. It literally becomes all I can hear, like the other sounds around me aren't even happening, so I can't hold conversation over it, but he gets REALLY snippy if I ask him to stop.

However, I am sometimes guilty of the icon thing so er, sorry about that.
