coffeebuddhaIf you've been following my Manic Mondays Bruce/Darcy series over on AO3 (it's slowly making its way over here, but most of the interest in it has been there, so I haven't felt hurried) then you probably know about Tad and Peter. For those not in the know, Tad is Bruce and Darcy's daughter and Peter is Peter Parker, who is her blink and you'll miss it love interest.
Okay, so there's no way I'd ever actually write it because it's so completely self indulgent, but I kind of want to write an AU of the series where Peter is Tony and Steve's adopted son, Tad is still Bruce and Darcy's daughter, and they kind of grow up together, but they're not romantic. Aaaaaaand then Peter gets his powers, and Tad's life is in danger for REASONS, and the Avengers are all out of town for REASONS.
So Fury calls in that new Spiderman guy to take care of the problem. Peter is full of feelings and anger and webbing, and he saves her, but he can't tell her it's him.
Especially since now she's kind of in love with Spiderman.
(And she's BEEN in love with Peter, but it's to the point where she thinks she has a better chance with freaking Spiderman than him, because Mary Jane and Gwen and omg Peter is so secretive lately.)
So Tad is angsting and in love and Peter is angsting and in love and there are FEELINGS.
And Tony and Clint have a bet going on who will make the first move.
And then Tad finds out that Peter is Spiderman. She is HUMILIATED and FURIOUS, because WHY would he let her go on about Spiderman like that when he IS Spiderman, and for that matter WHY DIDN'T HE TELL HER?! Aren't they supposed to be best friends? :(
So everybody cries and is sad, and eventually there is forgiveness and coming together and making out.

In other news, Chris Evans continues to wreck me.
As do Jeremy Renner and Matt Bomer.
