Megaupload's been shut down by the FBI and at least one person has already been arrested with others 'at large'. Are you fucking kidding me? I haven't even gotten my hands on Sherlock yet. :(

I'm both horrified and somewhat amused that the site I use to get my Criminal Minds episodes has been shut down by the FBI .

I legitimately use Megaupload for sharing family pics.

You can't help but wonder at the timing of this, and wonder how far the US government will take this and what the implications will be for other file sharing sites. It also begs the question as to why SOPA and PIPA bills are needed if the FBI already has blanket powers to shut down a site such as Megaupload.

Because they need more power so they can really come down on us like the angry hand of God. Do you have any idea how fucked over I would be by SOPA for some of my picspams alone? No filesharing, no profiting, but they would still be within their rights to arrest me. For a freaking picspam.
