Javier wakes with a dry mouth that tastes like something died in it at least a month ago and a headache that pounds as steadily and persistent as a bass line. It hurts and all he wants to do is curl back up under his blanket and sleep it off, but when he tries to move to do that, a warm, heavy weight keeps him pinned down to the mattress. He pauses, his eyes narrowed against the glaring light coming in through the window, and slowly follows the line of the pale, masculine arm draped over him up to a shoulder, over a neck, to a distressingly familiar face.

He doesn't shriek, because he's a man and very macho and, well, there's the hangover from hell pulsing in his head, but it's a very near thing. Instead he lets out a sort of strangled groan and tries to keep very still and get out of the bed simultaneously.

It doesn't exactly work.

He's in the middle of a wild, silent flail that's more than a little reminiscent of the Thriller dance when Kevin lifts his head and blinks blearily up at him. There's drool at the corner of his mouth and the side of his face is creased from the pillow and there's a very big, very dark hickey under his jaw and Javier's a little dismayed to realize he knows exactly what Kevin's skin feels like under his tongue. He makes a high, keening noise and loses control of his arms, which appear to be flapping against his will. Kevin lifts a hand up and reaches toward his face, like he's going to cup his cheek, then smacks him upside the head.

"There's a stack of paperwork on my desk as thick as War and Peace. Do you think you could save the freak out until after I've finished sleeping off those tequila shots?"

Javier gapes at him, but his body is already relaxing back down onto the mattress, falling easily into the dip in the mattress that presses him back against Kevin.

Clearly, his body's a treacherous bastard.

Of course, when Kevin snuggles up next to him and nuzzles against his neck, his fingers tracing tiny, lazy circles on Javier's chest, he has to admit that it might kind of have a point.
