I feel like I've been saying this every time I make a post lately, but sorry for the radio silence. I've been a lovely combination of sick, depressed, and drunk the past few days, which means I went into full on hermit mode and have quite a bit of catching up as far as LJ goes.

1. My new glasses came in the mail yesterday. I still haven't decided if I love them or hate them yet, but topetine thinks there should be pics, so I camwhored for a little bit and this is probably the least shitty of the pics. (Can you tell how much I just love having my picture taken? =/ )



And another from earlier today when I was still wearing the Evil Sweater Of Shedding And Waist Elimination, just because I like having proof that I really am capable of doing my eye make up correctly. It's not my fault it smears all to hell within five minutes of my doing nothing.



Also, any opinions on what my eye color is? Because I've been trying to figure that out for 20+ years and still haven't decided. Should I put it to a vote? IDEK. It's possible I'm already/still a little drunk...omnomnom wine.

2. I am so fucking addicted to Chopped. It is so many things that I love. I'm not nearly so in love with Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's not even that I don't like the show. It's that I don't like that it's on for literally hours every day to the point where it's easy to catch the same episode multiple times within the same week or two. That shouldn't be possible, Food Network. Who the fuck is Guy blowing to get that kind of air time? Seriously? I'm genuinely curious.

3. I feel like I can't write lately. Not in a 'oh, I suck' kind of way, but in that it's physically, mentally difficult to do it. I have ideas, I just can't get them down. It's driving me completely batty. I've spent the last couple of days ripping apart this thing I was planning to post last night and now I just hate it and want to rewrite it, but that's a problem since I can't write. *headdesks* Somebody just remind me that this isn't permanent? And if it is, lie to me. :(

4. I'm a serious downer in this post. Actually, that's been happening a lot lately. Sorry, guys. I'll try to be more chipper.

That's my general thought too. I'll probably keep using my other glasses as my primary pair, but these are nice for variation and as backups.

First...I am watching Chopped. Like, right now. I have such a hate for some of the judges though. And DDD is meh. I love Cupcake Wars though LOL and Challenge. I love Challenge like woah. Even though Claire annoys me for some unknown reason.

Second...I lost my mind. I am writing a Glee fic. Not just any Glee fic mind you, its a Kurt/Blaine glee fic. A Klaine, supernatural AU. A Klaine, Victorian(ish) Supernatural AU. Sam is Prince of the Fey, Puck is werewolf, Jesse St. James, Mike Chang and Warbler Nick are vamps. Blaine is like, dark vamp but completely into Kurt who is a mix of warlock and nymph. Schuester is a mage that Kurt is indebted to. Like I said...Lost. My. Mind. But people seem to be digging it and the chapters are just FLYING out. So apparently my muse in on crack lol.

And chipper be damned, just be you. Up, down, all around...the whole spectrum of you is made of win and we appreciate and embrace it all &hearts:

I'm watching it too! None of my fav judges are on this ep. I adore Aaron and Alex. WTF was with the guy just leaving the flaming torch on his work station? I don't care that it was jammed, just leaving it like that was dangerous. =/ Cupcake Wars and Challenge are love. :D

LOL Alex irks me on Chopped for some reason but I like her on her show. Weird, I know. That Scott guy annoys the bejesus out of me. I LOVE Aaron. Even if the dishes are crap he finds something positive to say, even if its just about the plating. I think its b/c he did Next Iron Chef and knows what its like to be on the other side of the competition (plus I have such mad respect for him having the balls to get out from behind the judges table and compete during the All Stars Challenge. He put his money where his mouth was and I did that in a guy.

Klaine is my new crack. I multi-ship though, because I'm a Kurt fan first and foremost and just want my boy happy. Klaine is adorbs though. I just kind of needed a new fandom and Glee fell into my lap and then I read some trashy vamp novels and watched Dracula and listened to a bunch of Placebo and my bff said Blaine had vamp hair when it was all gelled back and shiny and...yeah my brain took off.

I'm getting closer to liking them. I think a big part of it has to do with having the same frames for about three years now. New frames are a big change. lol

From the pictures, I'd say your eyes look to be an olive/hazel shade. Do they change colors depending on the color shirt you wear?

Thanks! They do, though they're usually more gray/blue/green. (It's confusing.) That pic makes them look a lot more mossy than they usually look. Hmmm.

Chopped is my favorite! :D I swear I could watch that show for hours and still be happy. So many fun food combinations!

Have you tried writing longhand? Or grabbing your laptop or a notepad and a pen and going to write somewhere else, like a coffee shop or a park? Changing media or writing space tends to help when I'm having trouble writing.

I've tried longhand, which didn't really help, but I'm a total homebody, so I haven't tried going somewhere else and writing. I might try that. My library has free wifi and comfy chairs, which is always a winning combination. Thanks for the suggestions!

If my camera will stop spazzing out I might take some close up picks of my eyes and post them. Because THAT wouldn't be creepy at ALL.

I made fondant from scratch today and thought of you. I used a marshmallow based recipe. It tastes like a marshmallow peep on a sugar high.

(Huh. That's actually kind of funny, because pretty much the only color I haven't considered my eyes is brown. The lighting in that pic is weird, so that probably wasn't the best pic to pair with that question...lol)
