Perception

I think it's funny the way we don't see ourselves the way other people do. I'm down about 20lbs now from when I started dieting in February. My jeans, which started off as too tight, are in danger of falling down every time I take a step and shirts I thought were a lost cause suddenly fit perfectly. A guy actually turned to check me out as I walked past him the other day, which never happens. Only I get on the scale every morning and see the numbers go down, but when I look in the mirror I still think I look just as fat as I did two months ago. Perception's kind of a bitch, isn't it?

Self image is both a stubborn and fragile thing. Keep up the healthy life changes, trust what the clothes tell you, and try and see the person in the reflection like you'd see a friend - kindly, honestly, supportive, with laughter.
